EPI BLADING
What is Epiblading?
Epi-Blading, also known as Dermaplaning, is a gentle method of deeply exfoliating the skin. A surgical blade is worked over the face removing the outer layers of dead skin cells as well as any fine hair (great for blonde hair that cannot be treated with laser). Epiblading can be used to treat a number of conditions including dry, dull or rough skin, acne and congestion, superficial pigmentation and fine lines and allows for better absorption of skincare products.
This treatment is also a good alternative for clients with sensitive skin who are not suitable for Microdermabrasion. There is no downtime associated with the treatment. The treatment can be used as a standalone treatment or in conjunction with a chemical peel for better penetration of product. Any fine hair removed during the treatment will not be stimulated or grow coarse. For best Dermaplaning results we recommend 3-4-week intervals, although results will be seen with each treatment.
Pre-Treatment
Epi-Blading or Dermaplaning is contra-indicated on irritated skin, infected skin, fungal skin infections, active acne, active Rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, severe solar keratosis, skin cancer, raised moles, warts and any open wounds or sores. If you have any of these skin conditions, please advise your clinician prior to any treatment.
What does the treatment involve?
A surgical blade attached to a blade holder is gently scraped over the face lifting both peach fuzz and dead skin cells at the same time, resulting in a smoother, fresher, and brighter looking complexion.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend having Epiblading every 4-6 weeks.
How long will the results last?
Results from your epiblading treatment last several months, however, peach fuzz will return within 4-6 weeks. Having regular ongoing treatments will stimulate the body to produce new layers of skin containing higher levels of elastin and collagen. This, in turn, improves the complexion and gives the skin a more radiant, vibrant glow year-round.

Epiblading is not suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have cystic acne, open wounds, infections, rosacea, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the area to be treated.
