Skin needling stimulates the production of your collagen and elastin to create smoother, healthier skin. It reduces acne scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, pigmentation, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores and scarring.

Skin needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” in the skin which triggers new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin. Skin needling procedures are performed in a safe and precise manner with the use of the sterile needle head. The procedure is normally completed within 30‐60 minutes depending on the required treatment and anatomical site.

The disposable micro‐needling tip comes in sterilized individual packages that are easily replaced and loaded into the device. Dermapen consists of stainless steel micro‐needles that can be adjusted from 0.25 to 3 mm, giving therapists an innovative skin therapy system that is designed to cater to individual patient needs.

The needle depth can be adjusted during the course of the procedure to accommodate different treatment areas and can easily manoeuvre around facial contours and delicate features such as the eyes nose and mouth. The dermapen offers many advantages over other light based and heat based devices. The micro‐ needling increases the effectiveness of the treatment while causing less epidermal damage sometimes caused by excess heat and light based therapies.

The high speed (8500 rpm) automated needling motion minimizes pain and discomfort while promoting an even absorption of topical acids and peptides into the skin that enhances overall results.

The dermapen vertical needling is not only effective in minimizing pain and bleeding, but also offers a safe, consistent treatment method that rejuvenates the skin. The dermapen offers exceptional results, is cost effective, easy to use and is far more precise than some more expensive treatments.

Maximum Results and Minimal Trauma

Anti-Ageing: Dermapen microneedling procedures boost the body’s natural healing response to increase collagen and elastin production for reduced wrinkles and lines.

Scarring: Dermapen 4 is the only microneedling device with a dedicated scar setting and protocols for revision of all scar types including acne scarring.

Pigmentation: Unlike some laser treatments, Dermapen microneedling removes the risk of heat injury and hypopigmentation risks, while promoting optimised cell function.

Stretch Marks: Many practitioners and patients have claimed that Dermapen Treatments™ have been more effective in treating stretch marks than other methods.

Enlarged Pores: Microneedling with Dermapen stimulates the skin to produce new collagen, plumping up and tightening the appearance of the enlarged pores.

Acne: Dermapen Treatments visibly improve the appearance of problematic skin breakouts and black or whiteheads (comedones) and active acne.

Recommended Treatments

Each person is treated on an individual case depending on their skin care concerns and expectations. It is generally recommended to have skin needling every 10 days to 4 weeks apart and a minimum of 4 – 6 treatments.

Side Effects

After the procedure the skin will be red and flushed in appearance in a similar way to moderate sunburn. Clients may also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being treated. This will diminish significantly after a few hours following treatments and within the next 24 hours the skin will be completely healed. Visible erythema is uncommon after 3 days.
